Lexus x CP! Miami 2024
In collaboration with Lexus, we are thrilled to present an interactive, multi-sensory installation during Miami Art & Design Week 2024, titled Lexus in Design. In partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami), the installation will be on view in the Museum’s sculpture garden from December 4th-15th 2024.
Four interactive and sensory-responsive sculptural pieces engage viewers through sight, smell, sound, and touch, with reactive changes to the sculptures’ colors, amplified sounds, and an aromatic mist infused with the new Lexus in Design fragrance, developed in partnership with Dilo. The installation reimagines the future of technology and the environment, offering a vision of responsible luxury where nature, humanity, and innovation coexist in harmony.
Over 100 unique biomaterial samples have been created for this project, primarily using Nuatan, Crafting Plastics’ innovative bioplastic made from 100% biobased polymers derived from sugars and starches. Additionally, we’ve incorporated a UV-responsive material skin infused with photochromic ingredients, as well as a novel bamboo-algae-based leather developed specifically for this project.
Venue:
Institute of Contemporary Art Miami (ICA) 61 NE 41st St. Miami. FL 33137, United States 3059015272
Opening hours:
Wed-Sun: 11AM-6PM
Mon-Tue: Closed
